Amplitude Modulation - the noisier, low fidelity radio signal. AM transmissions travel far distances bending around landscape altered by interference. These are aspects that could describe Pinecone Moonshine and the style of drum and bass we showcase -

Cut-up and manipulated samples. Sounds obscured in layers of other sounds. Drum breaks that carry distortion of historic recordings. Or drums with that natural layer of noise found ringing out from hats and rides. Minimal dnb with clicks and artifacts in the space between beats.

This LP, like the earliest various artist albums on PCMS, covers a range of styles and timbres of dnb - natural live-drumming or drumfunk, throw backs to the classic jungle breakbeats, layered rhythms, and minimal/sparse kicks and snares sometimes taken to the boundary of rhythmic ambient. A combination of jazz, glitch and acid, spanning from bleak to uplifting atmospheric soundscapes.
